TECH CHICAS
Austin, TX : SUMMER 2018

PRATIBHA ENGLISH MEDIUM SCHOOL
JANGAREDDYGEUDEM, INDIA : NOVEMBER 2018
This program was held in partnership with the Pratibha School to bring programming to the girls in the school. By the end of the camp, the girls had coded video games and animations for their school and learned basic Scratch and programming concepts. A lot of emphasis was placed on empowering the girls to pursue higher education and seek careers in software engineering.
ESCUELA PAULA JARAQUEMADA
SAN RAMON, LA PINTANA
SANTIAGO, CHILE : JULY 2019
This program was in partnership with the Paula Jaraquemada School in Chile. While there were more boys who showed up to the camp than girls, this camp was still very successful in terms of teaching Scratch and creating projects with the code the students learned. Because Chile generally has less emphasis on computer education, the driving goal of the camp was introducing coding to the middle school students as a whole.
